Joe Smith is a Detroit-born filmmaker, producer, and entrepreneur with a slate of feature films and documentaries reaching millions of viewers on Tubi, Amazon Prime Video, and Fawesome.

His storytelling roots began in music. Raised in Detroit's North End, Joe learned piano at 10, wrote his first song at 15, and went on to perform and serve as music director for gospel greats including Fred Hammond, Karen Clark-Sheard, Kierra "Ki-Ki" Sheard, The Clark Sisters, and Grammy winner Dorinda Clark-Cole — touring internationally and appearing on The Clark Sisters' Live: One Last Time DVD. His crossover into film began behind the scenes, producing music for the Warner Bros. soundtrack to Deep Blue Sea.

Today, Joe's films stream to Tubi's 100+ million monthly viewers, including Diamond Girls, Dance With the Devil, My Father's Blood, and the Tubi Originals A Good Man and A Good Man 2 — along with the newly released A Good Man 3. The Price of Fame arrives fall/winter 2026, with additional films in development. His documentary work includes #Senseless, spotlighting families affected by gun violence, and the docu-series Diamond Girls Confessions.

Joe is also Founder and CEO of Mainstreem, a free streaming platform for independent creators featuring film, TV, podcasts, music, and live events — available on Apple TV, Roku, Samsung TV, Android TV, Fire TV, iOS, Android, and Mainstreem.tv.
